KATHMANDU, March 1: As the major political parties are discussing forming an election-government with the chief justice as head, Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, who is also a vice-chairman of ruling UCPN (Maoist), on Friday cautioned political parties against schemes by "some forces" who he said are bent on disrupting the formation of a CJ-led government.

He said such forces are searching for constitutional loopholes to prevent formation of a CJ-led government.[break]

"If we are unable to reach consensus within a couple of days, we won´t be able to hold election by mid-June and if election is delayed then the country will face more crises," added Bhattarai, launching a book entitled "Lhasa Bolchhe" authored by his late father-in-law Dharma Ratna Yami.

He also said that all the parities should start preparations for elections and work for creating conducive environment for election by helping to form CJ-led government as soon as possible.

"We should find solution as soon as possible," said Bhattarai informing that the parties wasted nine months bickering over government. Hinting at Nepali Congress and CPN-UML in particular, Bhattarai alleged that they undemocratically did not allow his government to hold election. He said the CJ-led government is the last option for bailing the country out of the crisis.
