KATHMANDU, April 14: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that there will be no electoral alliance in the local level election if the local committees of the parties of the ruling coalition fail to agree on consensus candidates.
Speaking at a program on the occasion of New Year 2079 BS by Nepali Congress Kathmandu Municipal Corporation Ward 8 on Thursday, Thapa said that the local party committees have the right to forge alliances in the local elections.
General Secretary Thapa said that greater unity should be maintained within NC. He said that those who would win the election should be picked by the party. He said that all the leaders and cadres should abide by the party's decision regarding the candidates.
