JHAPA, Feb 18: Nepali Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula has said that there was no alternative to holding election to end the existing deadlock.
Inaugurating the seventh district convention of Nepal Civil Servants Union (Organization) Jhapa district committee in Chandragadhi today, Sitaula said, "The government employees should be ready to end the transition."
Saying that three-tier elections were needed for constitution's implementation, he urged all to be cautious as the democracy could fall in crisis if the country remains in the puzzle of dispute and conflict.
Sitaula added that the civil servants who serve as the permanent government should work by being neutral to maintain good governance. "The civil servants should not forget the country and the people while voicing for their rights."
The convention has formed a new working committee under the leadership of Kabindra Bikram Nembang for a three-year tenure. RSS
