Nine succumb to COVID-19 while 1,566 recovered in the last 24 hours

KATHMANDU, Sept 5: Nine more individuals succumbed to the novel coronavirus diseases (COVID-19) in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

KATHMANDU, Sept 5: Nine more individuals succumbed to the novel coronavirus diseases (COVID-19) in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).


Likewise, Nepal recorded the highest single day recovery of 1,566 COVID-19 patients, taking the national recovery tally to 27,127 on Saturday.

According to Dr Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), three females and six males have died of COVID-19.


The deceased females were from Makwanpur, Morang and Nawalparasi. Likewise, males who died of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours were one each from Parsa, Mohattari, Rupandehi and three others from Kathmandu district.


With this, the national COVID-19 death toll has reached 280 as of Saturday afternoon.
