Nine female central members elected in NC

KATHMANDU, Dec 21: The elections of Nepali Congress (NC) women's cluster has concluded under the party’s 14th General Convention. Elections were held for a total of nine posts.

KATHMANDU, Dec 21: The elections of Nepali Congress (NC) women's cluster has concluded under the party’s 14th General Convention. Elections were held for a total of nine posts. 


With 2885 votes, Dila Sangraula got the highest votes to be elected to the party’s central committee. Others elected as central members of the party are Pushpa Bhusal (2718), Aarzu Rana Deuba (2536), Ambika Basnet (2339), Ishwori Neupane (2259), Sarita Prasain (2096), Rama Koirala (1858) Sushila Dhakal (!804) and Rangamati Shahi (1789).

Similarly, Pradeep Kumar Sunuwar was elected as the central member from the minority cluster. The elections for the post of 35 central members of NC concluded on Sunday. According to the party’s election committee, the elections of Province 1, Bagmati Province, and the Madhesi cluster will be completed by Monday night. 


Meanwhile, Madan Kumar Shrestha was elected to the post of central member from the disabled (open) cluster.
