KAILALI, Nov 16: Police have arrested nine individuals with a total of 20.610 grams of brown heroin during separate checks conducted across the district. The joint operation was carried out by the District Police Office, Kailali, and its subordinate units, which also seized four motorcycles used in the transportation of the drugs.
In Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City–3, near Trinagar, police apprehended three individuals, including 35-year-old Ganeshbahadur Dangi of Pashuram Municipality–10, Dadeldhura. Dangi was riding a motorcycle (registration no. Ma 2 Pa 3107) with two pillion passengers — 20-year-old Dammari Bhandari of Jorayal Rural Municipality–2, Doti, and 30-year-old Dammar Bohara of Aalital Rural Municipality–3, Dadeldhura. Police recovered 9.290 grams of brown heroin from them.

Similarly, at Kusumghat in Bhajani Municipality–3, two individuals were arrested during routine checks. The detainees were 19-year-old Rijan Magar, a resident of Thakalipur, Lamkichuha Municipality–1, who was riding motorcycle Sudurpaschim Province 01–009 Pa 3511, and 22-year-old Akash Chaudhary. Police recovered 5.420 grams of heroin from their possession.
In another operation at Geta in Godawari Municipality–5, police arrested two more individuals — Vijay Bista, who was riding motorcycle Se 6 Pa 7594, and pillion rider Raj Chaudhary. A total of 5.750 grams of brown heroin was recovered from them. Both have been taken into custody along with the motorcycle.
Additionally, 29-year-old Kamal Jaisi and 26-year-old Laxman Bohara, residents of Piparkoti in Lamkichuha Municipality–6, were arrested from the Bagmara area. Police recovered 150 milligrams of heroin from them.
All nine suspects are currently under police custody for further investigation.
