KATHMANDU, Nov 26: A charge sheet has been filed at the Special Court against chief investigation officer of the National Investigation Department (NID), Sohan Kumar Rauniyar, on charge of submitting fake credentials while joining the job.
The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) in its charge sheet has mentioned that Rauniyar was found to have acquired a fake academic certificate of Intermediate of Arts from Farbisgunj College under Bihar University Examination Committee, India in the year 1984 to apply for the job and in subsequent promotion.
The anti-graft body has sought maximum punishment against Rauniyar for the act in accordance with the provision of Prevention of Corruption Act, 2002.
