NIC's three books released

KATHMANDU, Jan 14: National Information Commission has released three books, 'Right to Information’, ‘Right to Information: Successful Stories’ and ‘Landmark orders from January 15, 2017 to January 14, 2018’. 



Chief Information Commissioner, Krishna Hari Banskota, Information Commissioner Kiran Kumar Pokharel and Secretary Shanker Prasad Pathak, among others jointly released the books jointly launched the books at a programme organised by the NIC here today to present three year's work progress details of its office-bearers.

The book ‘Right to Information’ has 26 different articles, which is third edition, while the ‘Right to Information: Successful Stories’ comprises 20 different articles. 


Speaking at the event, Chief Information Commissioner Banskota urged information officers to discharge their duty with high-morale, while stressing the need for providing information to the people without any discrimination. 


He said that the NIC did contribute in various sectors including incorporating right to information subject in school curriculum, and disseminating message-oriented information through radio, televisions and newspapers.
