However, the proposed dividend is subject to the approval of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) and Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the NIBL, stated a press release issued by the bank on Monday.
The proposed 20 percent dividend amounts to Rs 481.41 million, which volume wise is among the highest in Nepal, the release added. It further stated that the bank has managed to earn a net profit of Rs 900.61 million at the end of 2008/09 fiscal year and the amount was an increment of 29.26 percent as compared to last fiscal year while increasing its paid-up capital to Rs 2.407 billion from Rs 1.203 billion, an increment of 99.92 percent.
As of the forth quarter of fiscal year 2008/09, the banks´s lending, deposit and customer base were Rs 36.83 billion, Rs 46.7 billion and 270,000 respectively, while the Non Performing Asset (NPA) of the bank has decreased to 0.58% from 1.12%, stated the statement.
Sipradi Maha Utsav ends
KATHMANDU, Aug 25: Sipradi Trading Pvt Ltd, the authorized dealer of Tata Motors Ltd, said that more than 350 vehicles were serviced during the three-day Sipradi Maha Utsav that ended Tuesday.
It also announced the addition of five more fully-equipped mobile service vans to its fleet. The vans were handed over to five Tata authorized service centers.
According to Sipradi, labor charges had been waived during the Maha Utsav. It also provided free battery check-up, a 15 percent discount on spare parts, 25 percent on Mak lubricants and 15 percent on Exide batteries during the event.
Discounts between Rs 5,000 and Rs 7,000 was also offered on engines repaired under the company´s Sanjiwani Yojana, Sipradi said. During the campaign, a free training on HIV awareness was also organized for drivers.
LG´s 211 after-sales service campaign
KATHMANDU, Aug 25: Chaudhary Group´s subsidiary division CG Electronics Pvt Ltd, the sole authorized distributor and manufacturer of LG Consumer Electronics/Home Appliances in Nepal, has announced the LG 211 After-Sales Service campaign.
Issuing a press statement Tuesday, CG Electronics said the campaign aims to ensure that a field service engineer will contact the customer and take prior appointment within two hours after he/she makes a call to register a problem and visit the customer within a day plus offer the customer an hour´s slot, thus the name 211.
CG Electronics also said the infrastructure for the project had currently been set up in Kathmandu but it planned to extend the project to three more cities by next month.
