‘Basanta Utsav’ for artists from east

The Department of Folk Art at Nepal Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) organized a cultural folk art workshop and exhibition titled ‘Basanta Utsav’ in Itahari on Monday.

The Department of Folk Art at Nepal Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) organized a cultural folk art workshop and exhibition titled ‘Basanta Utsav’ in Itahari on Monday.


The exhibit featured works of artists from eastern part of Nepal. According to the press statement released by the Department, the workshop was inaugurated by NAFA Chancellor Ragini Upadhyay Grela. She also made a painting on a canvas on the occasion.

The statement added that 11 artists were honored, while around 100 artists participated in the workshop cum exhibition. In the event, Upadhyay Grela talked about the need of artists’ voice to establish museums in all provinces. She also informed that NAFA was working for the same, read the statement.


The workshop concluded on Wednesday.
