KATHMANDU, Feb 14: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has asked to provide a copy of the investigation file related to the irregularities in the rental of land belonging to Nepal Children's Organization (NCO) within seven days.
The NHRC has stated that a correspondence has been sent to the High Government Attorney's Office in Patan and the District Government Attorney's Office (DGAO), Kathmandu to provide a copy of the decision and to the Central Investigation Bureau, Maharajgunj to provide a copy of the investigation file within seven days.

NHRC Spokesperson Dr Tikaram Pokharel said that the NHRC has initiated investigation into the incident using its discretionary jurisdiction and has written to provide a copy of the investigation file within seven days.
Pokharel said that the investigation was initiated after the DGAO decided not to file charges against Rita Singh Vaidya, the former president of the NCO, despite her involvement, due to the protection of power and authority.
