KATHMANDU, Sept 13: National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Chairperson Tapa Bahadur Magar with officials called on President Ram Chandra Poudel.
At a meeting held at the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas, on Wednesday, matters related to standardization of NHRC were discussed, the NHRC sources said.
President Paudel expressed commitment to make all possible efforts to keep the commission's standards at 'A' grade.

NHRC Chairperson Magar briefed the President about its works for human rights protection and promotion. He urged the President to make efforts to formulate the Commission Act as per the Paris Agreement so as to level up its standards.
Also present on the occasion were NHRC member Dr Surya Dhungel, Mihir Thakur, Manoj Duwadi, acting Secretary Murari Prasad Kharel and joint-secretary Dr Tikaram Pokharel among others.
