New range of pulsar bike launched

KATHMANDU, August 2: Bajaj Motorcycles on Saturday announced the launch of its much anticipated race sport and adventure sport Pulsar RS 200, AS 150 and AS 200 at an enthralling gig -- Nepathya Live in Concert.

In the presence of more than 5,000 audiences at DAV School ground, Shekhar Golchha, executive director of Hansraj Hulaschand, unveiled the new range of Pulsar bikes. This series exemplifies unparallel power and alpha male muscular styling to tame any distance or terrain, the company said in a statement.The Pulsar RS 200 completes a dream super sports bike of every youth with its exceptional design, fit and finish, the company said. "Once straddling, the HD focus twin projector headlights tame the darkest roads with devil's eyes," it said, adding that the high intensity crystal LED tail lamp captivates every other rider that it leaves behind. "While Pulsar AS 200 comes with a discrete style of extended visor, which helps it embark upon long distance riding and wind resistance with poise."

As the AS 200 is based on the 200 NS, the adventure tourer uses a pressed steel perimeter frame which is claimed to offer a high-stiffness and low-flex ratio. A telescopic front fork and a Nitrox mono suspension are seen on the bike. At 1,363 mm, the AS 200 is claimed to offer the longest wheelbase in its class, the company said.

"One key factor on we still leading this market is our focus on outstanding product design and its superior engine technology," Golchha said, "And with this new addition to our Pulsar family, we shall again steer the conception of new industry segment and Pulsar shall set the rules for others to follow."
