BAGLUNG, MARCH 25: CPN-Maoist Secretary Dev Gurung predicted that the ‘four party’s’ upcoming Constituent Assembly elections would meet same fate as the earlier elections held during ex-King Gyanendra Shah´s direct rule, on Monday.

Speaking to journalists in Parbat district, leader Gurung said, “The Gyanendra-style election is not acceptable to us.”

“New elections cannot be possible unless the 11-point agreement and the amendments of constitution through the provision of removing constitutional difficulties be scrapped,” Gurung added.

On the occasion, Leader Gurung argued that influence of the foreign powers are responsible behind the four-party ´s 11-point deal.

Saying that main parties are conspiring against the country and trying to make it as Afghanistan, he added his party has been continuously lunching struggle against such move.

On the occasion, Gurung, however, clarified that his party is not against the election. He added that new all-party government must be formed for the new election by dissolving the incumbent Khil Raj Regmi-led government.
