POKHARA, Sept 28: The Nepal Airsports Association has revised the paragliding rates in Pokhara due to internal disputes and unhealthy competition among business enterprises. The new rates have been fixed at Rs 7,500 to Rs 8,500 for 15-30 minutes and Rs 11,250 to Rs 12,750 for 30-60 minutes.
Pilots will now earn 60 percent of the flight fee, while business operators will receive 40 percent. Previously, the prices had dropped to as low as Rs 3,500 due to competition, affecting both businesses and pilots.
Efforts we put into our work are hardly visible
The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has given the association the authority to regulate paragliding, which started in 2000 in Pokhara. There are currently 74 paragliding companies operating in the region.
