Addressing a function organized by Mega Three Star Club to congratulate the newly elected executive committee of Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce, Pun said, "The issue of international stadium had already been raised during the prime ministership of Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal. We have picked possible sites in Lalitpur for construction of the stadium."[break]
Pun lauded Three Star Club as the pride of Lalitpur and said that the club needs to find a permanent source of income."
Speaking at the same function, Three Star President Lalit Krishna Shrestha said the club was facing financial crunch due to lack of regular income sources. "We have been meeting club expenses through support from sponsors, donors and different fund raising events. Now we felt the need for finding out long-term income source," Shrestha said.
"Though Lalitpur Sub Metropolitan City has provided seven annas of land some three years ago for the construction of our club´s building, we have been unable to construct the building due to lack of financial resources," added Shrestha.
Speaking at the same function, UCPN-Maoist lawmaker Rajkaji Maharjan opined that Three Star could contribute for the overall development of nation´s football.
Newly elected president of Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce Ajarman Joshi committed to support the club´s development.
