New Commerce Minister urges cordiality between bureaucracy and political leadership

KATHMANDU, Aug 26: The newly-appointed Minister for Commerce Romi Gauchan Thakali has stressed on coordination, collaboration and cooperation between the bureaucracy and the political leadership.

KATHMANDU, Aug 26: The newly-appointed Minister for Commerce Romi Gauchan Thakali has stressed on coordination, collaboration and cooperation between the bureaucracy and the political leadership. 



Issuing directives to the high officials of the Ministry of Commerce at Singha Durbar after assuming his post today, he said, "We are here for providing services to the people. No one would be discriminated against on the basis of political belief. So, please work without any fear and qualms." 



He said works should be carried out by keeping the employees having expertise in priority and expressed the commitment not to weaken the leadership of the work group at the Ministry. 



Emphasizing on the need of taking maximum benefit by maintaining friendly relations with India and China, he said the country should maintain cordial relations with both its immediate neighbors. 



Minister Thakali also pointed out the need of bolstering the country's economy. He was elected to the Constituent Assembly from Mustang district in the election to the Constituent Assembly held in 2070 BS. He started his political career from the Nepal Students Union (NSU), the student wing of the Nepali Congress, from 2034 BS. 



At the program, Ministry secretary Naindra Prasad Upadhyaya had briefed Minister Thakali about the works carried out by the Ministry and its future plan of action. RSS
