NEPSE surges for eight consecutive trading days

KATHMANDU, March 26: Investors are experiencing golden moment as NEPSE continues to surge for eight consecutive trading days on Sunday.

With the increment in the turnover in the share market, the NEPSE has seen green in the index chart. For the last five trading days, the turnover has crossed the benchmark of Rs 1 billion.

The bull market roared to 1546 point on Sunday, surged from opening point 1486 of previous trading day. However, later trading hour saw little correction in the market and closed to 1533.83 with the difference of 47.79 points.

The total turnover of the day was Rs 1.760 billion with the transaction of 3.657 million shares of 143 companies. Out of which Insurance group saw highest point difference of 203.37.

Turnover wise Prabhu Insurance Promoter Share experienced the highest turnover with Rs 192 million followed by Nepal Credit and Commercial Bank saw Rs 97.309 million and National Hydropower Power Company was the third highest with turnover of Rs 86.309 million.

Stock wise, 563,020 shares of National Hydropower were traded at price of Rs 155. Though Prabhu Insurance Promoter Share saw the highest turnover, but it was among the only three losers of the day with Rs 11 loss per share. The other two companies were Saptakoshi Development Bank with Rs 11 and Sahara Development Bank with Rs 9 loss.
