KATHMANDU, July 11: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Thursday escalated 29.21 points to close at 2,204.61 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,175.40 points and reached the day’s high at 2,205.06 points in the first one and a half hours. The market decreased by a marginal value in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies added 5.90 points. The daily turnover jumped to Rs 7.08 billion from Rs 5.74 billion on Wednesday.
Microfinance and trading were only the two losers, which shed 25.91 points and 11.95 points, respectively. Of the 11 gainers, life insurance and non-life insurance were in the top rank by adding 318.69 points and 111.90 points, respectively.
Among individual companies, 155 were recorded as gainers whereas 78 were the losers.
CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited had the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 152.58 million. Balephi Hydropower Limited gained the highest of 9.99 percent of its market price. Samaj Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited with a downfall of 4.59 percent was recorded as the biggest loser.
