KATHMANDU, Dec 24: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday inclined 14.11 points to close at 2,626.31 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,612.20 points and escalated to the day’s high at 2,645.2 points within the first one and a half hours. However, the index went as low as 2,613.82 points in the last 13 minutes of trading hours. The market bounced back around 13 points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, also increased by 2.58 points. The daily turnover increased to Rs 5.20 billion from Rs 4.43 billion on Monday.
Only two groups–manufacturing and processing, and trading–lost their market values by 162.18 points and 20.91 points, respectively. Out of the 11 gainers, the development bank index rose by the highest of 95.17 points.
Among the individual companies, 168 were gainers while 70 were registered as losers. Janaki Finance Company Limited had the biggest turnover of its shares worth Rs 200.74 million.
Three listed companies including Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited, Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited and Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited were recorded as the topmost gainers. Support Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha witnessed the largest fall of 10 percent of its market price.
