KATHMANDU, Sept 5: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Monday dropped marginally by 4.29 points to close at 1,973.01 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,977.30 points and reached the day’s highest at 1,987.50 points in the first half an hour of the commencement of trading. However, the market failed to keep up the pace for the remaining trading hours.

The daily turnover, which was hovering around Rs 1 billion for the past few days, dropped to Rs 909.90 million on Monday trading.
Out of the 13 trading groups, only two - manufacturing and processing and microfinance - were the gainers of the day.
Ridi Hydropower Development Company had the largest daily transaction amount of its shares worth Rs 99.69 million. Ru Ru Jalbidhyut Pariyojana Limited lost the highest percent in its share price, whereas Mailung Khola Jalvidyut Company was the top gainer.
