KATHMANDU, April 17: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Monday plunged 23.63 points to close at 1,908.05 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,931.68 points and peaked to the day’s high at 1,937.65 points in a few minutes of trading. However, the market went to a straight fall in the remaining trading hours.

All the 13 trading groups lost in their market prices. Life insurance lost three digit marks of 149.90 points.
In the intraday trading, 188 listed companies were the losers, while 23 companies added value in their market prices. The sensitive index that measures the performance of the blue chips companies also slid 4.87 points.
The daily turnover stood at Rs 920.07 million, even lower than Rs 974.59 million on Sunday.
Among individual companies, Arun Valley Hydropower Development Co. Ltd had transactions of its shares worth Rs 70.24 million and was the topmost on the lists. Sunrise Bluechip Fund lost the highest percentage of its market price, while Adarsha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited was the highest gainer.
