KATHMANDU, August 28: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Sunday lost 33.36 points to close at 1,989.26 points. This is the lowest mark Nepse has dropped to in the past one and a half months.
The secondary market opened at 2,022.62 points and made the intraday low at 1,989.56 points before recovering by marginal points. Last time on July 8, the market plunged to around 1,800 points following which the market took an upward trend and reached up to 2,200 points.
Nepse marginally lower in week after last session recovery
The total turnover amount stood at Rs 1.05 billion, which was lower than the last trading day’s turnover of Rs 1.26 billion. Except for mutual funds, the remaining 12 trading groups lost in their average share prices with three of them shedding three-digit points.
Arun Kabeli Power Limited had the largest transaction amount of Rs 103.36 million. Ru Ru Jalbidhyut Limited was the top loser whereas Radhi Bidyut Company gained the largest percent in its share price.
