KATHMANDU, Dec 28: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Thursday declined marginally by 1.93 points to close at 2,068.90 points.
According to NEPSE, the market opened at 2,070.84 points and hit the day’s high at 2,085.37 points in the first 45 minutes of trading. The index then fell to as low as 2,059.97 points at the midway of trading hours. The market recovered around eight points before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies also declined by 1.62 points. The daily turnover amount fell to Rs 4.29 billion from Rs 5.248 billion on Wednesday.
Six out of the 13 groups were gainers. Manufacturing and processing added 75.75 points, the largest of all. The trading index plunged by the highest of 49.90 points.
Among individual companies, 135 were recorded as losers whereas 103 companies were gainers.
Sonapur Minerals and Oil Limited carried out the largest transactions of its shares worth Rs 143.83 million. Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited lost the highest of 10 percent of its market value. Vision Lumbini Urja Company Limited was recorded as the largest gainer.
