Nepse increases marginally by 3.76 points

KATHMANDU, August 29: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Monday crawled up 3.76 points to close at 1,993.02 points.

The secondary market opened at 1,989.26 points and plunged to the day’s low at 1,975.58 points. The market, however, surged to as high as 1,995.49 points before closing for the day.

The daily turnover stood at Rs 1.26 billion, a slight increase from Rs 1.05 billion on Sunday. Except for banking, microfinance, investment and mutual funds, the remaining nine trading groups gained in their average share prices.

Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited had the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 112.57 million. Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha was the top gainer whereas Ru Ru Jalvidhut lost the largest percent in its share price.
