KATHMANDU, March 7: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) inched up by 1.55 points to close at 2,544.94 points on Monday.
Gold price sets new record of Rs 161,800 per tola
The market that opened at 2,543.39 points reached the highest mark point of 2,566.12 and fell to the lowest at 2,538.43 points. Along with the overall market index, the sensitive index that measures the performance of blue chips companies also rose by 2.41 points.
The total turnover amount stood at Rs 2.60 billion, a slight increase from Rs 2.49 billion on Sunday. Among individual companies, Shivam Cement Limited witnessed the largest turnover of Rs 276.93 million. Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited was the topmost gainer while Panchthar Power Company Limited lost the largest value in its shares price.
