KATHMANDU, June 3: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Monday declined marginally by 3.97 points to close at 2,079.07 points.
The market opened at 2,083.04 points and reached the day’s high at 2,095.98 points in the first 10 minutes. However, the market went into a straight fall and hit the day’s low at 2,073.15 points in the next two hours of trading. The market recovered around six points in the remaining trading hours before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies also declined by 1.58 points. The daily turnover fell to 4.0 billion from Rs 4.31 billion on Sunday.
Only microfinance out of the 13 trading groups gained 106.79 points. Of the losers, non-life insurance posted a fall of 71.06 points in its index.
Among individual companies, 110 were recorded as gainers whereas 129 were the losers.
NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 148.59 million. NIBL Stable Fund was the biggest loser, while the shares of Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited rose by the highest of 9.98 percent of its market value.
