KATHMANDU, Sept 29: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell for a second consecutive day on Tuesday, declining 9.62 points to 2,603.71.
The index fell 16.47 points on Monday.
Along with the index, the total turnover decreased to Rs 4.65 billion from Rs 5.38 billion. The share prices of 69 companies rose, while those of 199 companies fell and the prices of 10 companies remained unchanged.
Turnover shrinks as Nepse falls for second straight day
The price of ICFC Finance Limited Debenture 2083 saw the highest gain of 9.18 percent, an addition of Rs 88.80 per unit. Similarly, the price of Sayapatri Hydropower Limited rose by 6.79 percent.
Citizens Super 30 Mutual Fund saw the steepest decline of 5.44 percent. It was followed by RBB Mutual Fund 2 with a drop of 4.67 percent.
Himalayan Distillery recorded the highest turnover on Tuesday trade, with the company’s transaction recording at Rs 229.96 million. Shivam Cements ranked second in terms of the highest volume of share trading with the value registering at Rs 172.57 million.
Among the 13 sectoral indices, only non-life insurance and others indices inclined by 10.88 points and 2.19 points, respectively. Of the 11 losers, trading plunged 61.42 points.
