NEPSE declines 13.09 points; daily turnover falls to Rs 7.24 billion

KATHMANDU, Sept 10: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday decreased by 13.09 points to close at 2,632.94 points.

KATHMANDU, Sept 10: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday decreased by 13.09 points to close at 2,632.94 points.


The secondary market opened at 2,646.03 points and escalated to the day’s high at 2,688.03 points in the first half an hour. The index then went into a downward move and reached the day’s low at 2,617.89 points after some 20 minutes of the trading time. The market recovered around 15 points in the remaining trading hours before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, declined by 1.80 points. The daily turnover declined to Rs 7.24 billion from Rs 9.43 billion on Monday.


Among individual companies, 67 were recorded as gainers whereas 169 were the losers.


Out of the 13 groups, only trading gained 29.46 points. Life insurance lost the biggest of 100.18 points.


Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited Promoter share had the largest turnover of Rs 298.15 million. Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme 3 lost the highest of 8.82 percent of its market value. Manushi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited was recorded as the topmost gainer.
