NEPS partners with BPC Banking Technologies

KATHMANDU, July 28: Nepal Electronic Payment Systems Pvt Ltd (NEPS) has entered into a partnership with BPC Banking Technologies (Singapore) to implement 'SmartVista Suite of Solutions' for servicing electronic payment needs of the banks.

Issuing a press release on Tuesday, NEPS said that the solution encompasses Debit Card, Credit Card, Pre-paid Card, Lifecycle Management System, Merchant Management System, ATM Management System, Cellular and Internet Banking Interface, Fraud Management, Loyalty Program Management and Payment Processing and Switching System as well as various other solutions for electronic payment needs of the banks."SmartVista combines the latest technologies, innovative design and comprehensive functionality to ensure that customers can capitalize on changes in the payments market faster than their competitors," reads the release. "SmartVista has been built around a robust security framework, which has been validated under PCI's Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS)."

According to the release, currently Sunrise Bank Limited, Janata Bank Limited, Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited and Citizens Bank International Limited are processing their card transactions through NEPS while other member banks of the NEPS are expected to migrate to the NEPS system within three months.
