KATHMANDU, May 7: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has assured the family members and relatives of those recruited in the Russian army of safe repatriation of their loved ones from Russia.
The family members and relatives of those recruited in the Russian army, along with activist Kritu Bhandari, reached the PM's official residence in Baluwatar on Tuesday and submitted a memorandum to PM Dahal.

In the memorandum, there are 13 different demands, including the safe rescue of citizens who have joined the Russian army, proper treatment of those injured in the war, their repatriation with compensation, and the safe rescue of five prisoners of war in Ukraine.
Earlier, three people, including activist Bhandari, had gone on a hunger strike for 17 days, demanding the rescue of Nepalis working in the Russian army. Apart from that, there are various programs going on in the capital to mount pressure on the government.
