KATHMANDU, Dec 29: Nepalis living in Britain have provided Rs 547 thousand to a one-year-old child from Khotang.
The financial assistance was sent by Jayanta Rai of Khotang who is currently in Britain. Rai collected the amount from the Nepalis there. The support is meant for Tenjing Tamang who lost his mother Kabita Tamang of Khotang to cancer recently.
CPN (UML) central member Rajan Rai handed over the assistance to the boy's father, Ashok Tamang, at a function here on Wednesday. The amount has been deposited in the bank account in the child's name.
At the function, Rajan Rai appreciated the humanitarian support provided by Nepalis from abroad. RSS
