Nepali Hajj pilgrim dies, one killed in accident

SAPTARI, Nov 20: A Nepali Haj pilgrim died in Mecca of Saudi Arabia.



The deceased is identified as 62-year-old Abdul Rahim Miya of Bashain VDC-6, Saptari.



According to family members, Abdul died after he suffered from a massive cardiac arrest while doing Hajj.



Rahaman Miya, son of Abdul, said they performed his last rites at the city considered holy according to the Islam religion.



Meanwhile, a car knocked one person to death in Khairahani, eastern Chitwan, on Thursday evening.



The unidentified man was killed on the spot when the Narayanghat-bound van from Hetauda (Ba 2 Cha 6955) hit him near Baba gas factory. The driver is on the run.



Police said they have seized the vehicle, adding that they were trying to establish the identity of the deceased.
