Spain is the favorite team for majority of the Nepali national football players. After Spain, England is the second choice. Among 20 players of national team, Spain is the favorite to half of them and think Spain will defend the title. Similarly, six of them like England and think it as the favorite team to win the Euro Cup. [break]
Two players -- defender Rohit Chand and midfielder Bhola Silwal do not have any favorite team. Netherlands and Germany is also among the title favorites . These are the choices of Nepali players and their predictions.
Goalkeepers
Kiran Chemjong: Spain and England are my favorite teams. I think both of them will reach the final. Spain is a strong title contenders with majority of players from Barcelona and Real Madrid. Besides, it is strong in all position, especially the midfield. Spain´s goalie Casillas is my best players.
Ritesh Thapa: I prefer England and Spain is my second choice team. England must win this time as it has been facing title drought since long. Rooney, Frank Lampard, Casillas and Xavi are my favorite players.
Bikash Malla: I think the Netherlands will lift the title this time. Despite having a strong team the Netherlands have always been an unlucky team based on results. Lampard is my best player.
Defenders
Sagar Thapa: I think Spain or England will win the Euro Cup. England has been my favorite team since long ago. The Spanish team is studded with good players. Ashley Cole, Terry, Rooney, Lampard and Xavi are some of my favorite players.
Rohit Chand: I don´t have any favorite team. I think all the teams are good but Holland is stronger than other teams.
Biraj Maharjan: Spain is my favorite. It has good team setting and most of the players are from academy. But all the teams of Euro Cup are strong. French international Patrice Evra is my favorite player.
Rabin Shrestha: Spain is my favorite and I like the playing style of the team. The team is studded with Barcelona players and the Catalan team is my favorite club. Sergio Ramos is my favorite player
Sandip Rai: Spain is the best team for me as it consists of majority players from Barcelona which is my favorite club. The defense and midfield of Spain is exceptional.
Deepak Bhusal: Spain and England are my favorite teams. I wish Spain wins the title. Dominating players are from Barcelona and it plays attacking football. Sergio Ramos is my favorite player.
Jeetendra Karki: I think England will win the title. England has given chance to young players this time. Terry and Gerard are my favorite players.
Midfielders
Raju Tamang: Spain is my favorite since long time. All players are in top form thus it is title favorite. Iniesta and Xavi are my best players.
Bhola Silwal: I am yet to choose my team and will do so after watching few initial matches.
Nirajan Khadka: Spain and Netherlands are my favorite but Spain is my first choice. Spanish players are hard working and the team plays total football. Majority of Spanish players are from Barcelona and Real Madrid. Xavi and Iniesta are my best players. As every teams are strong, it is difficult to predict the winner.
Tanka Basnet: Spain will win as it has good team communication. Robin van Persi is my best player.
Forwards
Bharat Khawas: I will support Germany and I think it is the favorite to win the title. The team is well set and has good individual players. Germany put up a superb show in the World Cup as well. Thomas Muller is my best player.
Jumanu Rai: England is my favorite and it will win the title. England has good forwards. Rooney is my favorite player. Though he is banned for initial two matches, I think England has sound replacement for Rooney.
Santosh Sahukhala: England will win as the team is studded with stars of Premier League. Position wise England has good players. Rooney is my favorite player.
Ganesh Lawati: I think Spain is the title favorite. I like playing style of Spanish team. Robin van Persi is my favorite player.
Anil Gurung: England is my favorite team but I think Germany might win the title. Germany plays fast pace game as well as attacking football. Rooney is my favorite player.
