Nepali celebs spread happiness amidst despair

KATHMANDU, May 7: Together with the Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad, a youth group from India, Nepali celebrities reached Bharatpur’s Bageshwori on May 6. The locals looked delighted at their arrival. The celebrities spoke about sanitation and epidemic outbreak in a humorous manner, spreading awareness about these important issues amongst the locals while also distributing relief materials. The locals seemed to have forgotten about their sorrows for a while.
The relief distribution team included celebrities like Deepak Raj Giri, Dipa Shree Niraula, Nirmal Sharma (Gaida), Kedar Ghimire (Magne Buda), Dilip Rayamajhi, Ramesh Upreti, Jharana Thapa, Kiran KC, Sunil Kumar Thapa, Anurag Man Singh Kunwar and others.
Citing the slogan “Aata dekhi Lota samma, Laltin dekhi Baltin samma”, the celebrities distributed essential items to 120 families. Other materials also including tents, cooking utensils, pulses, packets of oil, candles, stoves, mattresses, etc.
The youth group from India expressed gratitude to the Nepali celebrities. They thanked them, for not just were they able to distribute relief materials but they were also able to spread happiness.
This campaign will continue for two more days, says coordinator Baburam Dahal. Likewise, the celebrities will be going to another village to provide relief, awareness and spread happiness.
