KATHMANDU, Sept 13: Chief of Army Staff General Ashok Raj Sigdel has departed for Beijing for an official visit to China at the invitation of the government of the People’s Republic of China.
According to the Nepali Army, Sigdel will be in China from Sunday through September 19. During his visit, he is scheduled to attend the 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum in Beijing.

Before his departure from Kathmandu, Sigdel was bid farewell at Tribhuvan International Airport by Lieutenant General Pradip Jung KC.
The Nepali Army said Sigdel’s visit is expected to further strengthen military relations and cooperation between Nepal and China.
In Sigdel’s absence, Lieutenant General Pradip Jung KC will assume the responsibilities of the Acting Chief of Army Staff.
