KATHMANDU, April 6: The process of appointing a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has commenced.
A recommendation committee formed for this purpose issued a notice on Saturday, inviting applications from Nepali citizens who meet the qualifications.

The CEO position fell vacant following the end of CEO Dhananjay Regmi's four-year tenure in Magh 2076 BS. The process to fill this vacant position has now begun. Applicants must be Nepali citizens aged between 35 and 60 years.
The committee's recommendation emphasizes giving preference to candidates with a minimum of a master's degree in educational qualifications and experience in any tourism-related field. The details of the application process are available on the NTB's website.
In a recent cabinet meeting, Rishi Ram Bhandari, Rajendra Bahadur Lama, and Ram Prasad Sapkota were appointed to fill three vacant positions in the NTB. Subsequently, efforts are now underway to appoint a new CEO.
