KATHMANDU, April 19: The Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) has started the appointment process for a new chief executive officer (CEO). The bank issued a notice on Friday and invited applications for the position of CEO.
Qualified candidates have 21 days to apply for the post of CEO. The bank has specified the minimum educational qualification required for the role, which includes a master's degree in management, banking, law, economics, accounting, statistics, etc. Additionally, candidates with a bachelor's degree in chartered accountancy, management, banking, etc, should have at least 10 years of work experience at the authorized level or above. As part of the application process, aspirants are required to submit a professional action plan.
Sajha Yatayat invites fresh applications for CEO position
The previous CEO of the RBB, Kiran Kumar Shrestha, concluded his term in the last week of March. Shrestha, who was appointed the CEO through an open competition on April 11, 2016, served for two terms, with his second term commencing on April 11, 2020.
Following Shrestha's departure, the board of directors appointed Deputy CEO Devendra Raman Khanal as the Acting CEO, effective from April 11, 2024.
