Nepal, Tibet border officials hold talks

DHUNCHE, April 27: Nepali and Tibetan security officials held talks in Rasuwagadhi to coordinate with each other for the wider welfare of people living in the bordering areas.



DSP Narendra Upreti said the talks were centred on solving the basic problems of people in the bordering areas, facilitate Nepalis´ movement across the border, increase harmony between the people of across the border and control cross-border smuggling.



Upreti also said the locals´ suggestions were also collected on establishment of an area police office at Rasuwagadhi keeping in view with the security along the border area following the completion of the Syafru-Rasuwagadhi road, which will increase the movement of people to the bordering town.
