KATHMANDU, Sept 3: Problems have been seen in the mobile numbers distributed by Nepal Telecom. For the past few days, there have been problems such as missed calls coming from abroad and when calling back the number, no one speaks and later money is deducted.

On Thursday, Nepal Telecom issued a public notice requesting the removal of unnecessary and suspicious apps on mobile phones if such problems arise. Some customers of Nepal Telecom have complained of auto-dialing from their cell phones. No call record is seen on the customers’ mobiles, while the charge for the calls is deducted if the call is successful.

The notice said, “Although such unauthorized calls are not normally made from the company, we are conducting necessary analysis regarding such unauthorized actions for the convenience of our customers.”

Nepal Telecom has also urged the people to be cautious and use the locking code. The customers can open as well as close the ISD service when needed.
