KATHMANDU, Sept 6: Nepal SBI Bank Ltd (NSBL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City for beautification and cleaning of Fewa Lake -- a popular tourist destination in Pokhara.
VK Tyagi, deputy CEO and COO of Nepal SBI Bank and Om Raj Paudel, Deputy CEO of Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan Office, signed the MOU to this effect on Monday.
According to the MoU, the bank will construct 15 resting/observation shades along the foot track of Fewa Lake -- from Barahighat to Gahirako Chautara -- and develop an attractive gardening and greenery around the area.
"To facilitate domestic as well as international tourists, the bank will build separate toilets for ladies and gents, drinking water (hot and cold) distribution outlet and banking terminal," the statement added.
