KATHMANDU, Aug 5: Nepali players for the Olympic games have flown to Brazil on Etihad Airways.
Issuing a statement, Etihad Airways said it gave a warm send off to Nepali Olympic hopefuls to South America.
Phupu Lhama Khatri, judo gold medalist at the 12th South Asian Games in India earlier this year, is the star athletes in the team.
"She will proudly carry the national flag of Nepal during the opening ceremony at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro tonight," the statement added.
