Pun, who is also the former finance minister, said that the huge part of the economy should not be monopolized by a limited number of households. According to him, a mixed economy would be better for now in Nepal. Pun said that the state should reduce control of monopolistic capital as much as possible.

Pun said that not only the two ministers and the prime minister should discuss the big projects but participation of the general public should also be increased while planning and implementing the big projects. He said that it is necessary to produce 3 billion worth of agricultural products within the country by providing capital and technology to become self-sufficient in basic food and production.

Pun also argued that it is necessary to change the structural system of Nepal and create a structure suitable for capital expenditure. He said that the government should take initiatives to make the judiciary, legislature, executive, and civil society of Nepal as a whole development-friendly.
