KATHMANDU, Dec 26: As many as 249,132 people who were earlier diagnosed with COVID-19 have so far got over the disease in Nepal. This accounts for 96.7 percent of the total cases confirmed in the country.
As Nepal’s health ministry confirmed 500 new cases of the disease on Saturday, the total case tally advanced to 257,700. There are 6,749 people across the country who are yet to recover from the flu-like disease.
Nepal first reported the infection of the disease on January 23 earlier this year.
Since the first case of fatality was reported on May 16, Nepal has witnessed 1,819 COVID-19 tragedies including five deaths on Saturday.
