Nepal routs B'desh 5-1 to reach final

KATHMANDU, July 27: Host Nepal stormed into the final of the Second SAFF U-16 Championship, defeating Bangladesh in the semifinal 5-1, at Dasharath Stadium here in the capital on Saturday.



Sujan Limbu scored the first goal for Nepal. Bimal Gharti Magar and Anjan Bista, scoring one goal each, extended the lead to 3-0 until the half time. Limbu returned to score another goal in the second half, while the remaining was own goal. [break]



Nepal will face the winner between Afghanistan and India in the final on Monday. Nepal came third in the first edition of the tournament defeating the same side 2-1.
