President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, on the occasion of the Republic Day on Wednesday, made an announcement about conferring awards on distinguished personalities from various walks of life. Gyawali is being awarded for his contribution to Nepal’s media sector.
The NRM is the publisher of Republica and Nagarik dailies and the operator of their corresponding newsportals, myrepublica.com and nagariknews.com. Prior to the NRM’s inception four years ago, Gyawali was director of the Kantipur Publications.
