POKHARA, June 8: A 60-year-old man from Waling Municipality-3 of Syangja succumbed to the novel coronavirus disease on Monday morning at around 5:55 am.
According to Dr Binod Bindu Sharma, spokesperson for Gandaki Province COVID-19 Control and Prevention Program, the man was undergoing treatment at the isolation ward of Pokhara Academy of Health Science in Pokhara, Gandaki Province.
The man had returned from India four days ago. He was admitted to the isolation ward on Saturday.
With this, the total number of deaths due to the COVID-19 infection has reached 14 in Nepal. Gandaki Province has reported the first ever death from the viral disease.
