Nepal records three more COVID-19 related deaths

KATHMANDU, Sept 5: Three more COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in Nepal on Saturday.

Two individuals in Butwal and one in Dharan have succumbed to COVID-19.

A 40 years old man from Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-11 and a 37 years old woman from Pratappur Rural Municipality-2 of Nawalparasi died of COVID-19 while undergoing treatment at Butwal Corona Hospital. Both the deceased have been reported to be patients of chronic diseases as well.

With this, the number of COVID-19 patients dying at Butwal Hospital has reached 15.

Likewise, a 43 years old woman from Biratnagar-11 also died of COVID-19 while undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences on Friday evening. According to the Dr Nidesh Sapkota, spokesperson for the hospital, she had tested positive for the virus on Thursday. “She was also suffering from high blood pressure for the last four years,” he added.

So far, 22 individuals have succumbed to COVID-19 while undergoing treatment at BPKIHS.
