KATHMANDU, Oct 5: As many as 1,114 people recovered from COVID-19 on Tuesday, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population. Similarly, Nepal recorded 968 new cases of COVID--19 and six deaths from the deadly virus on the same day.
There are currently 16,705 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 15,117 are in home isolation, 1,131 in institutional isolation, 335 in ICUs and 122 on ventilators. Similarly, 237 people are currently in quarantine facilities.

As many as 16,042 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Tuesday. Of them, 11,582 were tested through the PCR method while 4,460 with antigen tests.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 302 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 231 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 30 in Bhaktapur and 41 in Lalitpur districts.
