KATHMANDU, Sept 25: Nepal recorded 953 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday alongwith 1,371 recoveries and six deaths, according to the latest information released by the Ministry of Health and Population.
As many as 10,579 tests were conducted on Saturday. Of them, 790 PCR and 163 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus. As many as 6,014,941people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Saturday afternoon.
There are currently 20,172 active cases of COVID-19 across Nepal. Of them, 18,340 are in home isolation, 1,360 in institutional isolation, 363 in ICUs and 109 on ventilators. Similarly, 237 people are in quarantine.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 311 new cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 198 were recorded in Kathmandu, 40 in Bhaktapur and 73 in Lalitpur districts.
